About Me

My photo
Dick Haight
I started programming in 1961. Worked for Michigan Bell, Bell Labs, Clemson University, etc. Have programmed in a dozen or so languages. My all-time hands-down favorite: SNOBOL4. Wrote more C than anything else. Now only need PHP, C++, Unix/Linux Shell and Python (powerful, too many ways to make trouble for yourself). Wrote the original UNIX find(1) command in 1974. Have had over a dozen Macs, including the original '84 model. Have now taken up the Raspberry Pi, Arduino and Particle Photon (out on the electric edge -- luckily low voltage). As a diary of what I'm doing, I try to maintain these blogs: http://dicks-raspberry-pi.blogspot.com/, http://dicks-photon-arduino.blogspot.com/
