After going along ok for the last 2 years, I decided to simplify my farmer hoop house ventilation systems. Might as well switch to Pi Zero 2s. Not too bad but a little surprising.
1. The older Pi SD cards don’t just move over. Duh. New processor. I downloaded a new image file on my iMac and that worked fine except—
2. For “security reasons” the new Linux comes with ssh access turned off. Only way to turn it on was to find a monitor, keyboard and mouse. It’s been YEARS since I needed that.
There was more like this but not too irritating. Starting with a new OS image was kind of good. I’d forgotten what all I’d added to the system.
So, with virgin SDs I added only what my simpler config required. Therefore, pain < advantage!
